Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information EVOXEL SOUNDS collects when you visit this website or work with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
The short version
- We only collect what you send us in a form or message, plus basic technical data any website receives.
- No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics profiles.
- Your music and project files are confidential. We never share or release them without your permission.
- We never sell your personal information.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time.
1. Who we are
EVOXEL SOUNDS is a music production, mixing and mastering studio run by Oz Dabach and Aki Cohen, based in Holon, Israel. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy, meaning we decide how and why it is used.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Booking and contact forms: your name, email address, the service and options you choose, the price shown to you, links to your demo or reference tracks, and anything you write about your project.
- Messages: what you send us by email, WhatsApp or Instagram, including your phone number or username on those services.
- Project material: audio files, stems, sessions and notes you send for us to work on. See section 4.
- Payment details: payments are handled by PayPal. We receive confirmation of the payment, your name and the email on your PayPal account. We never see or store your card or bank details.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data: like every website, our host receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps these in short-lived server logs.
- Approximate country: to show prices in your local currency, your browser asks a geolocation service which country your IP address is in. We use only the country code, in your browser, and we do not store it.
We do not collect special categories of data (such as health or political views), and we ask that you don't send them.
3. How we use it and why
| Purpose | What we use | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to questions and booking requests | Form and message details | Steps you ask for before a contract |
| Deliver the service you booked | Contact details, project material, notes | Performing our contract with you |
| Take payment and keep records | Payment confirmation, invoice details | Legal obligation (tax and accounting) |
| Show prices in your currency | Approximate country | Legitimate interest in a clear price display |
| Keep the site secure and working | Technical data, spam check results | Legitimate interest in security |
| Show your track in our portfolio | Track name, artist name, audio excerpts | Your consent, which you can withdraw |
We do not use your information for automated decisions, profiling or advertising. We will only email you about your enquiry or project, never a marketing list you didn't ask to join.
4. Your music and project files
Unreleased music is sensitive, and we treat it that way.
- Your files are used only to deliver the service you booked. We never share, sell, publish or release them.
- You keep all rights in your music. Working on it gives us no ownership or licence beyond what the job needs.
- We only feature work in our portfolio, such as the before and after player, with the artist's permission. If you want a featured track removed, email us and we will take it down.
- Ghost production is covered by a separate agreement. Details and terms are shared privately with clients who ask about it.
7. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't become a project: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Project files and sessions: up to 12 months after final delivery, so revisions and re-delivery remain possible, then deleted. Ask us and we will delete them sooner.
- Invoices and payment records: for as long as Israeli tax law requires, currently up to 7 years.
- Server logs held by our host: for the short period set by the host.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law, the EU and UK GDPR, and US state privacy laws, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
- Object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent you gave earlier.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email evoxelsounds@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your data, please tell us first so we can fix it. You can also complain to the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority, or to the data protection authority in your own country.
9. International transfers
We are based in Israel, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection. Some of the services we use store data in other countries, including the United States. Where that happens, we rely on those providers' standard safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your information.
10. Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), project files are kept in access-controlled storage, and only Oz and Aki can reach them. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, so please share files through a private link rather than a public one.
11. Children
Our services are meant for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
